“PLANT A WILDFLOWER GARDEN” CONSULTATION

WHAT? & WHY? Have a spot in your yard you are wanting to add a mini native wildflower meadow or native shrubs to? Are you a gardening do-it-yourselfer, or do you have a good helper for gardening—but want more guidance in adding to your yard? Are you seeking ways to add beauty AND benefit your ecosystem? Schedule a “Plant a Wildflower Garden” consultation! I will help you select and order the right number and type of native wildflowers or shrubs for a section of your yard (such as 5x5 or 10x10). You will add color & natural beauty and support our local ecosystem—in manageable steps, at a more reasonable price!

HOW? We will meet virtually or in-person to assess your yard’s conditions, select appropriate native plants, decide on where to obtain and order them, and determine how to prepare the soil and space them. I do not plant them but will advise on what you need to do so yourself. Native plants are hardy plants that have evolved over thousands of years in the region. They are magnificent choices for today’s gardens.

AND? For an additional fee, after we consult on your plot and plans, I can meet you live at a native-plant-oriented garden center, and we can easily get you started in a fun, at-the-garden-center shopping consultation. Another add-on, schedule permitting, is for me to meet you onsite when the plants arrive for that extra layer of support as you place your plants.

Plant Credentials: A self-taught gardener, avid native plant book reader, healer, educator, and professional artist, my passion for native wildflowers, shrubs, and trees has led me to study and volunteer at The Native Plant Center in NY, with additional coursework at the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG).
